This was my b-day gift to myself. I started this ... back in March, I think and just never got to finish it. Finally got to. This is a character in my full color fantasy comic that I'm working on. He's General of the Haven Knight. That's armor he's wearing. It's called the Ivory Idol. It's organic and works much like a parasite.

I'm still not sure this will be the FINAL design for it because I'm still learning how to draw armor and things. This is a concept I've been playing around with for a few years. I finally got it right! It's always fun to mix humans with other creatures.

I'm still learning Photoshop CS2's custom brush system. I wish I could have made some brushes for coral and other stuff like that. Maybe next time.

Something.
A thing. A creature. Male or female I couldn't tell. I was repulsed... but enthralled.
All I could do was stare.
That was when I noticed...
It was looking back at me...
The movie Signs inspired this. I couldn't decided on a gender for it so... it's something. I wish I could have done more textures in its skin but I'm most proud of the color balance.
